Open House (Day in the Life)

It is currently 10:30 am on Saturday June 25th and I am sitting on my client’s couch studying for my mortgage license exam, and honestly it is the most relaxing feeling considering all the hoops I had to jump through just to make it here today.
The morning started off as any other with a trip to the local gas station to get some energy drinks to get the blood running, after that I had to make a short trip to one of my new listings to get measurements on the home. Thankfully my clients are out of town, so I got to accomplish this at 7am in my sweats in the summer #lol.
All went well with the measurements, and we are priced more competitive than the new homebuilders in the area which is a quite relieving feeling considering that the market is beginning to shift.
After that I took a short cruise around the neighborhood and I had noticed there was a garage sale right down the street and it piqued my curiosity, at this point after the measurements it must have been nearing 8am and the sun was starting to creep up over the ridge. I spoke with the family for a little bit and I had explained that I was looking around for furnishments for my girl friend because she was also moving. I found it fascinating that they were relocating to their home in Venezuela to finally seek out retirement and the golden years of life.
I took off down the street shortly after I had perused all they had to offer but not before running into yet another garage sale, at this one I had ended up picking up a puzzle for my girlfriend and I to complete ( It had a wizard so it was totally worth the dollar spent ). I did not spend much time conversing as I knew that I had a busy day well ahead of me.
From there I was finally able to make it home to get ready for the day (this does not take long because I am a Marine) but it had dawned upon me that today would be perfect for an open house! The idea was great, but I had a big problem at hand, the open house flags that I had needed were in Seguin at one of our other client’s properties. ( I hosted an open house the day prior and was going to do it again the next day… that gamble did not pay off) The time had to be somewhere nearing 8:30 ish am by this point and I had yet to even begin adequately preparing for my pop up open house. (for additional context, because I am doing a showing in Seguin it had made sense to just leave the flags and host an open house their).
The flags were now secured and now the race was on to get back to my client’s house to get it ready. I still had to stop and get some more balloons at the local dollar general and to my dismay I had forgotten to buy string to tie them ☹. But then my craftiness kicked in and I had remembered that I had just bought some fishing line a few days ago and it to my surprise it was still in the trunk.
Just like that the day was saved and I still had a whole laundry list of things to complete that day and I was able to put the house under contract just a short 48 hrs later.
